– GridIron Fantasy Sports LLC received the award for Best
Live Fantasy Event or Contest at the 2008 Fantasy Sports
Trade Association Conference. The 2006 recipient of this award was
ESPN. GridIron
Fantasy Sports LLC operates the
World Championship
of Fantasy Football which involves live drafts in Las Vegas,
Atlantic City and Orlando awarding over $1.4 million to participants
in 2007.
GridIron Fantasy
Sports LLC acquired the World Championship of Fantasy Football from
Fantasy Sports Championships Inc. in May 2007 with the vision of
elevating the industry’s premier event to an even higher level.

active members. Each year, the FSTA hosts two trade conferences
where fantasy industry professionals discuss best practices and

over 20 million consumers play fantasy sports annually with a total
market size estimated at more than $1.5 billion, including
sponsorships, endorsements, contest management and advertising.

The World
Championship of Fantasy Football was founded in 2002. In 2007, over
2,000 fantasy football team owners and managers participated in a
WCOFF sanctioned event. Over $1.4 million was awarded to
participants in the 2007 World Championship of Fantasy Football.
The WCOFF is operated by GridIron Fantasy Sports, LLC headquartered
in St. Louis, MO.
In addition to
the World Championship of Fantasy Football Main Event, the WCOFF
conducts live Auction drafts held on Friday before the Saturday Main
Event. Beginning in early June, on line satellite drafts are
conducted allowing fantasy football team owners throughout the world
the opportunity to earn a seat in the World Championship of Fantasy
Football Main Event.
